There aren't many sights more romantic and colourful in the animal kingdom than a pair of lovebirds snuggled up to each other. Hence, Peter chose this subject for his 2009 Romance Annual, entitled Hearts A Flutter. The inscription on the base refers to the nine species of lovebirds, all from Africa and Madagascar. Peter carved the agarpornis roseicollis variety, thus the carving on the lid. The number thirteen commemorates Peter and his wife Andrea's recent celebration of their 13th wedding anniversary. Along with their two children Sam and Millie they are a family of four, hence the four interior hearts.

Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 6 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
