Contrary to popular belief, the greyhound does not spend its time racing about. In fact, it's been said, "Gain a greyhound, lose a couch". So Peter's greyhound, based on his friend's dog Flash, is shown in its natural state - resting. Long-time HK collector, Catie Leicester, who has worked as an advocate for greyhound rescue for many years, is mentioned on the lid. HK House of Lords Dealer Lynn Trace, who told Peter about the Gulf Greyhound Track in Texas which finds homes for ex-racers, also receives mention. The interior of this 600 piece fixed edition box figurine portrays two track rabbits working out in an attempt to keep ahead of the chasing greyhounds.
Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 3 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
