The 2009 Black Box, Club Kids, examines the practice of seal hunting. Every year, thousands of seals are culled to keep their population down. Meanwhile, the human population grows by over 200,000 a day. In typical Black Box fashion, Peter turns the tables and the seals now do the clubbing. Inscribed on the lid are the nations responsible for most seal killing: Canada, Russia, Norway, Greenland and Namibia. Hakapik is the traditional weapon used to dispatch a seal and is considered a very efficient tool. Nov15 May15 references Harp Seal hunting season. The interior shows a harp, because it is mostly Harp Seals that are culled and harps are connected to the place the seals will go. . . heaven.
Although Harmony Kingdom is still manufactured at Wimberley Mills near Stroud in Gloucestershire, since Martin Perry, the founder retired in August 2005, marketing and shipping of the pieces is done from the USA office at Harmony Ball Company in Ohio. This means that we have to consolidate our orders before having them shipped to us. We are currently taking deliveries about every 6 weeks and so there may be a delay with your order if the piece is not already in stock. We will advise by email. Hope this doesn't cause a problem.
