Purrfect Gifts

Miss Matilda Priddy lives in the village with numerous cats. This is where Mavis the cat resides. Mavis believes she should be living at Whittering Hall and is planning a takeover! She's traced her family tree and sure enough close members of her family lived at the Hall. Mavis's human Miss Matilda Priddy loves all her cats (even though Mavis can be a little difficult with ideas above her station!)but has no idea of Mavis plans for if not world domination at least village domination!

Miss. Priddy is very happy running a little shop in the village called "Purrfect Gifts", where she sells a range of lovely cat related items to the other cat lovers in the village. However, as we mentioned Mavis has other ideas. From her observation post (up the tree by the post office - always a good place to see the comings and goings of the people in the village) Mavis has observed Dave the dog walking Felicity, his human, to and from the post office rather regularly. Usually Felicity is struggling with a large bag. Now Dave thinks that Mavis is one of his best friends - Mavis however, thinks that Dave is rather stupid and usually cannot be bothered with him.

One morning Mavis decided to discover what was in this rather large bag being carried by Felicity. She called to Dave from the tree with a very loud meow - Dave forgot he had Felicity on the other end of the lead and the fact that dogs cannot climb trees (even though he really knew this after a very embarrasing incident with a squirrel) and embarked on a disasterous attempt to meet Mavis on the bottom branch. Well chaos ensued. Dave ran smack into the tree and landed on his back gazing at stars even though it was daylight. Felicity ended up flat on her face and the bag of parcels spilled out onto the pavement. Mr and Mrs Fielding who run the post office came rushing out to help. Mavis stretched, smirked at the scene below her, climbed off the branch, onto the wall and ambled over to inspect the parcels. Causing more chaos as Dave spotted her and thought she had come to help! Mavis saw that the address labels on the parcel were to all different people and horrors of horrors in big letters stamped on the parcels - yes all of the parcels were the words DAVES DOGALOGUE. What was this, how could this have happened?

Well Mavis strolled along home thinking very hard and decided she needed to take up position on her thinking hat (which was actually Miss. Priddys best hat which she thought was safe on top of her wardrobe!). Mavis came to the conclusion that Dave could not be allowed to get away with this - a Dogalogue! Everyone knows it should be a Catalogue! In that moment unbeknown to Miss. Priddy, Purrfect Gifts the Catalogue was born and Mavis was one step closer towards the takeover of Whittering Hall!
